Meet Afikpo native and rising music star, Harrison Idam Chidozie Okoro, also called by his stage name (Mc Chido).

Mc Chido is a native of Amangbala village in Afikpo. He was born to Late Mr. Joseph Okoro Idam, an insurance broker and Late Mrs. Christiana Ogwu Okoro, an entrepreneur and a singer; both of the same village.

Mc Chido left Nigeria for the U.S.A in early 2002 after living and operating his own business in Lagos for fourteen years. He went through College in the U.S.A and is still pursing various degrees while serving in the US Army Reserve.

Mc Chido had always seen himself producing music full time but never really took his dream seriously and was just writing songs and scattering them in his shirt and pant pockets, and in his drawers until one day in 2010 when he took the very first bold step into a studio called “The Blue Room Studio” in Bethesda, Maryland to record his very first track. Ever since then, his dream of producing music was born.

Mc Chido has had the opportunity of performing in various night clubs in the Washington DC Metropolitan area. He has about thirty tracks of different song genres in his song library all written and recorded by him.

In the month of June 2013, Mc Chido thought it was time to let the world hear his music and to further  his artistic talent to another level by contracting EON Group International to develop his official website: Since launching his website, Mc Chido has garnered praise from a cross sections of his audience in the United States and other countries.

Mc Chido often mentions his late mother as his mentor and inspiration, a reason he is opening up his official site with a song he wrote for her tribute titled, “Sweet Mama”.
